Combining home movie footage with colorful animation and testimonies from Miller, engineer Josh Berg and friends Quentin Chandler Cuff and New York music critic Craig Jenkins, Making Faces positions the mixtape as one of Mac's most pure artistic expressions - the end result of sealing himself off in home studio The Sanctuary after a relentless tour and getting creative.
The result: one of Miller's most beloved and accessible works, which, like the others lives on past the artist himself, who died in 2018.
