Meek Mill's storytelling chops are well known, but he was on another level with the video to "Oodles o' Noodles Babies."
A promo cut from the chart-topping Championships in 2018, the "Oodles" video was released in the summer of 2019. Over Meek's hard-scrabble tale of growing up and trying to survive (and without the rapper appearing in the clip), the short depicted a heartbreaking tale of a father serving a sentence for armed robbery, and the lessons (and warnings) this tragic event impressed upon his young family.
"It's the condition in which you plant your seeds that determine how they will grow," the video's intro declared - an all-too-real reminder of the iniquities of America's legal and judicial systems. (Meek knew that all too well - the week the video dropped, he was granted a new hearing in an ongoing, controversial conviction he received in 2007.)
